Author of the Year

Regina A. Dilbert

A mentally and physically strong, black woman. A woman of courage and faith. A mother, daughter, and friend. An educator, coach, and mentor. A motivator with surmountable resiliency. A writer, a poet, and historian. 

Born in Rochester and raised in Savannah. Graduated from Windsor Forest High School and attended Georgia Military College. She joined the Army Reserves and shortly went active Army. She was reassigned to Fort Bragg, NC and deployed to Afghanistan three times. She published her first book of poems titled "I've Been There Too, From Me To You". Her book of poems have intermissions of short stories of real life situations. She is not only our Author of the Year but the owner of D. Books & Publishing Company, Dilbert Sports, D. Bicycle Company, D. Beauty Station, D. Resolution Center, and Beautiful Braids Magazine.
